Just because summer is over and the kids are back in school doesn’t mean there still isn’t plenty to do in Lake Geneva! We have several fall and winter activities to keep everyone entertained! If you haven’t already had a chance to see the beautiful fall colors gracing our lake and town, the Streets of Lake Geneva will soon be decorated for the holidays to get you in the true holiday spirit!

As always, Oktoberfest was a huge success where locals and visitors come out to take part in activities for all ages, shopping, entertainment and unique dining experiences! We now have our holiday season events to look forward to! The Holiday Open House in Lake Geneva is just around the corner, November 10th& 11th! The Holiday Open House, along with many others, is a Streets of Lake Geneva and Lodging by the Lake event. It’s where the downtown Lake Geneva businesses open their doors for extended hours for the holiday season to help you get your holiday shopping started, and by offering many different in-store specials, it gives our locals and out of town guests an opportunity to support our local small business owners! Guests are invited to leisurely stroll our distinctive shops, grab lunch at one of our fabulous restaurants and be entertained by some of the musicians, authors and artists that will make you rethink your usual holiday shopping plans. Who says it has to be stressful!?

Lake Geneva’s next holiday event is the Festival of Lights and the 37th Annual Electric Children’s Christmas Parade, November 30th – December 1st! Our local businesses and organizations come together to make this a spectacular event for kids and adults! Friday there will be story time at Caribou Coffee for children to listen to classic Christmas tales, followed by the tree lighting ceremony with Santa at the Riviera. Saturday enjoy the sounds of instrumental and Victorian carolers as they make their way through shops and restaurants to really put you in the holiday spirit! And don’t forget to stop and get your picture taken with Santa and his reindeer at Starbucks all weekend long! Fall and winter are a great time to stay, play, shop and dine in Lake Geneva!
